Canada tourism reaps rewards of new awareness created by 2010 Winter Games
VANCOUVER, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ - Awareness of Canada as a tourism destination, created through the Games, is translating into travel bookings in the Canadian Tourism Commission's (CTC) core markets as a result of post-Games marketing campaigns. As part of its tourism strategy, Canada became the first hosting country to successfully integrate new, high-definition footage of tourism experiences into the coverage of the Games by international broadcasters. Audiences around the globe followed the Games, and also got a taste of the Canadian adventures that await them here in all regions of the country.
Video package includes a fully produced and split track edit narrated by CTC President and CEO, Michele Mckenzie, highlighting activities as part of Canada's Olympic Tourism Strategy during the 2010 Winter Games. Video package also includes examples of international coverage from CTC's markets, and general aerial and ground b-roll of Canada.
