Campus Management Launches CampusNexus Student and CRM
Next Generation Technology Enables Higher Ed to Adopt "On Demand Model," to Evolve and Thrive in Today's Increasingly Competitive and Dynamic Marketplace
BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Campus Management Corp., a leading provider of innovative solutions for higher education, unveils CampusNexus™ Student and CRM. Launching its new architecture, CampusNexus leverages the power of its previous applications, CampusVue® (student information system) (SIS) and Talisma® (constituent relationship management solution) (CRM), to enable institutions to evolve and thrive in the On Demand era.
As institutions continue to encounter greater competition and evolving business models, Campus Management is responding to these challenges by delivering technology solutions that empower institutions to cater to the requirements of today's student and regulatory environment. This includes providing the ability to offer flexible learning models and financial aid programs, enabling schools to more quickly and effectively communicate with current and prospective students, as well as the flexibility to make changes to business models, with the security and confidence in the strength of their technology architecture.
"Campus Management has identified and addressed the emergence of a new model in higher education – The On Demand Model. CampusNexus was created to serve as the foundation to support new models of engagement and delivery through constituent engagement, flexible terms, associated financial aid and an agile DNA to thrive in this new era," said Connor Gray, Chief Strategy Officer of Campus Management.
The new CampusNexus architecture makes its applications easier to use, provides greater flexibility, creates a more open structure and has CRM 'baked-in.'
Easier to Use. CampusNexus incorporates a new and responsive modern user experience.
"Our first release focuses on the core needs of mobile recruiters. Future releases will mirror this user experience across the breadth of our footprint," stated Mr. Gray.
Greater Flexibility. CampusNexus leverages new architectural constructs to support an event-driven architecture. Eventing and workflow components allow institutions greater flexibility along with a robust forms builder component that can be used to capture vital information and streamline processing.
"We've anticipated the need for institutions to extend the business logic for their school. This powerful feature set provides institutions with the ability to tailor the application to their specific practices while preserving the ability to upgrade easily," said Eric Wellnitz, Chief Architect at Campus Management. "The workflow architecture dramatically decreases the amount of work end-users historically had to complete."
More Open. CampusNexus provides access to underlying web services as part of the base platform. Users can leverage data exchanges with learning management systems, payment processors, electronic bookstores, document management technologies, resource scheduling solutions, telephony systems, and much more.
"Institutions need the ability to fully leverage the breadth of the application and access a defined set of web services to get the most from our capabilities. When combined with our event-driven architecture, this really opens up CampusNexus to provide a vast canvas for clients to use, and also supports the agile DNA institutions need to thrive," said Cynthia Haynie, Chief Technology Officer at Campus Management.
CRM Baked-In. While Campus Management will offer CampusNexus CRM as a separate application, CampusNexus Student incorporates the CRM as a critical component of its overall offering.
"There is tremendous potential to more fully leverage CRM. A big part of that is having CRM closely aligned within the higher education environment and throughout the constituent lifecycle. Higher education processes are unique and having a specific CRM that anticipates those needs, 'baked-in,' is essential to leveraging its potential to enable dynamic models of engagement," said Mr. Gray.
"The higher education landscape is reaching a critical juncture in which schools need to recognize they are reaching a transform or perish moment," said Jim Milton, Chief Executive Officer at Campus Management. "The goal of CampusNexus is to provide schools with a flexible and agile platform through advanced automation capabilities that can streamline processes and allow administrators to spend more time focusing on offering the best possible student experience."
