Campaign for Black Male Achievement's 10th Anniversary Gala Honors George Soros, Tonya Allen, John W. Rogers
NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) holds its 10th Anniversary Gala: Black Male Reimagined on October 18, 2018, honoring George Soros, Tonya Allen and John W. Rogers for their leadership in advancing life outcomes for boys and men of color. Actor, author and philanthropist Hill Harper will host.

Launched in 2008 as an initiative of the Open Society Foundations, CBMA stretched into a decade of accelerating investments, strategies and asset-based narratives for Black men and boys. CBMA grew the field of Black male achievement to more than 8,000 individual and organizational members, catalyzing over $320 million and six national initiatives.
CBMA's decade of impact along with a call for accelerated action is outlined in a new report to be released at the gala, A Decade of Risk, Urgency and Momentum.
Hill Harper is an actor, author, philanthropist, entrepreneur and health and wellness ambassador most recognizable for his starring role in CSI: NY.
George Soros is one of the world's foremost philanthropists and founder of Open Society Foundations.
Tonya Allen serves as The Skillman Foundation's president and chief executive officer as well as CBMA's board chair.
John W. Rogers is Founder, Chairman, CEO & Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of Ariel Investments, the largest African-American led investment management firm in the country.
