DENVER, June 09, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- StoneRiver Inc., the trusted insurance technology partner with solutions across multiple business lines, today announced Cameron Mutual Insurance Company is in production on StoneRiver's Stream Billing to replace its legacy environments. The deployment of Stream Billing provides new billing options, reduces operational costs, improves processing efficiencies, and adds clarity to billing communications. This multi-phased program, also including Stream Claims and Policy STAR®, is a strategic initiative geared toward enhancing and modernizing Cameron's customer service focus through Stream Suite for core processing.
Cameron Insurance and StoneRiver announce that Stream Billing is in a production environment as an enterprise-class billing administration solution. This initiative also includes claims and policy administration components in the program as part of a Stream Suite adoption strategy. StoneRiver's Stream momentum builds with the production deployment of Stream Billing. The achievement of this milestone was made possible by the strong partnership between StoneRiver and Cameron. Cameron automated the movement of accounts over to Stream Billing and redesigned its invoices to improve information to insureds and reduce the number of invoice-related questions. The team also integrated with the existing Agent website and automated payment capabilities.
Already in production with StoneRiver for policy administration, the implementation of Stream Billing is the next step in Cameron's project to modernize technology through the replacement of legacy mainframe systems. The new capabilities provided by Stream Billing empower Cameron to maintain and strengthen its differentiator as a service-focused business through enhanced service offerings and further leveraging Cameron's already strong relationship with its agent community. The next phase in the program of implementing Stream Claims is already underway.
In addition to replacing the legacy billing environment, the implementation of Stream Billing positions Cameron Mutual Insurance to:
- Provide new billing options including Web billing
- Continue to be a service-focused business and provide even better service to agents and policyholders
- Leverage StoneRiver's Insurance Integration Platform (IIP) for easier integration of third party systems
- Ensure consistency of process and workflow throughout the enterprise
"A significant part of our overall company strategic plan involves the modernization of our operating environment to best serve the company's future needs. A key component of that effort involves the implementation of StoneRiver systems such as Stream Billing," said Gary Myers, President and CEO of Cameron Insurance.
