Camera360 Wins Big at the Fortune Global Forum 2013
CHENGDU, China, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Camera360, one of the world's most popular camera apps, today announces that it has been invited to participate in the Fortune Global Forum 2013 and has been ranked #2 in this year's Best Startups. With more than 120 million users globally, Camera360 has become the leading photography application in the world.
In 2013 the Global Forum returned to China for the fourth time, this time in Chengdu, an energetic growing city in southwestern China that is both a symbol and the reality of the 21st century global economy. China is at a key turning point, changing dynamically, and the Fortune Global Forum is the most distinguished platform for multinational CEOs—and the heads of China's most important companies— to gain visibility into emerging trends, and meet the people who are shaping "China's New Future."
Participation in the Fortune Global Forum is by invitation only, and is attended by the CEOs of the Fortune Global 500 companies, along with the most important leaders from China and other nations. Hao Xu, CEO and Co-founder of Camera360, has been invited to speak at the Fortune Global Forum 2013.
"More than 11.2 billion photos have been taken with Camera360 since its release in 2010. On average, 545 photos are taken per second and 50 million per day. Over 120 million smartphone users are enjoying Camera360 all over the world," said Hao Xu, CEO and Co-founder of Camera360.
Last month Camera360 announced that it has become the first mobile photography app to pass 100 million global users and they will focus on providing an optimized user experience and continue to push the boundaries of their software after reaching this major milestone. "Audio Camera, a new feature of Camera360, will be officially released in the Google Play Store on June 14th. It will help you take pictures and capture the surrounding sound, to better represent the moment and recreate the emotional value of the image," said Hao Xu, "Because of its functionality and creativity, Camera360 has taken the lead in the photography industry again."
Many investors are optimistic about the future of Camera360 in a global market after listening to Hao Xu's speech. Steve Bell, the famous American venture capitalist, expressed his willingness to invest in Camera360 at the event. The Chinese startup behind the popular photography app Camera360 has secured nearly US $10 million in series A funding in the last two years, led by Singapore-based Gobi Partners and US-based Matrix Partners.
