Camden National Bank Named FAME's Financial Institution of the Year

CAMDEN, Maine, Nov. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Camden National Bank was named Financial Institution of the Year at the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME)'s Annual Showcase Maine meeting and awards event Tuesday, November 15. The event, held at Portland's Holiday Inn by the Bay, recognized Maine businesses and educational organizations that support FAME's mission of helping Maine people pursue business and educational opportunities.

In addition to its work with FAME, Camden National Bank was recognized for its commitment to the communities it serves. Last year Camden National stakeholders gave more than 16,000 hours of service to community and non-profit organizations throughout Maine.

This is the second time in the past three years that FAME has recognized Camden National for its commitment to Maine people and businesses; Camden National Bank was named FAME's Maine Financial Institution of the Year in 2009 as well. Camden National continues to be celebrated for its dedication to helping Maine businesses and people succeed, having also been named Maine's Top Performing 7(a) Lender of the Year by the Small Business Administration (SBA) earlier this year.
