CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambridge Bancorp (NASDAQ: CATC) and its subsidiary, Cambridge Trust Company, announced the appointments of Stephen DiCenso as senior vice president and residential mortgage lender, and Peter Cowan as vice president and private banker.
DiCenso, recognized by financial services and real estate industry publication Banker and Tradesman as a top banking mortgage originator in Massachusetts, is responsible for expanding Cambridge Trust Company's private banking business through jumbo mortgage lending, and will offer the company's private banking and wealth management services to prospective and existing mortgage clients. Cowan is responsible for new business development and relationship management as well as expanding existing relationships through collaboration with all parts of the bank.

About Stephen DiCenso
DiCenso joins Cambridge Trust Company after spending 20 years at the Boston office of the Bank of New York Mellon. As vice president and senior residential mortgage banker, he was responsible for sourcing, managing, marketing and growing the New England market's residential jumbo mortgage portfolio.
While at BNY Mellon, DiCenso ranked nationally as one of the institution's top two mortgage bankers for 15 consecutive years and was recognized as a BNY Mellon Wealth Management's National Revenue Leader for 11 years. He was twice elected to BNY Mellon's Chairman Circle, which recognizes individuals for revenue and service leadership. Since 2003, he has originated and closed residential jumbo mortgages totaling more than $100 million annually.
DiCenso holds a bachelor's degree from Boston College's Carroll School of Management.

Cowan brings to Cambridge Trust Company more than 10 years of private banking and wealth management experience. Prior to his new role, he was a financial advisor in the Boston office of Merrill Lynch's wealth management group, where he implemented a goals-based approach to meet and exceed his clients' financial needs.
Cowan formerly spent nearly a decade at Citi Private Bank as a vice president and associate banker on a banking team that specialized in providing banking, lending and capital markets coverage to private equity and real estate firms, and their partners through business banking and cash management services and customized wealth management solutions. While at Citi, Cowan honed his expertise in financial planning, business banking and cash management services and developed his deep understanding of the complex financial needs of high net worth individuals and their families. He enjoys listening to clients' individual stories and finding a way to help them achieve their goals through financial planning and working collaboratively with the bank's extensive resources.
Cowan holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. He serves on the leadership council of Year Up, a one-year intensive training program at more than 250 top companies that is dedicated to closing the skills gap for thousands of young adults across the country and is a member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council.
