"Inclusion on the 2013 list of Military Friendly Schools® shows Cambridge College's commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students," said Sean Collins, Director for G.I. Jobs and Vice President at Victory Media. "As interest in education grows we're thrilled to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools," said Sean Collins. "As the spouse of a retired US Navy Seabee, I truly understand the challenges many of our service members, veterans and their families face when it comes to completing their education," said Jeri Clay, Assistant Regional Center Director and VA Representative for Cambridge College. "At Cambridge College, we offer a personalized approach to assist our veterans and military. Many of our faculty and staff have served in the armed forces and have a unique appreciation of military culture. Our flexible schedules are designed for the working adult student and our blended learning format offers the best of both worlds."
Now in its fourth year, the 2013 list of Military Friendly Schools® was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 VA-approved schools nationwide. The survey tabulation process, methodology and weightings that comprise the 2013 list were independently verified by Ernst and Young LLP. Each year schools taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Board (AAB) consisting of educators from schools across the country. A full list of board members can be found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com/board.
Cambridge College accepts selected transfer credits for both graduate and undergraduate programs, and schedules evening and weekend classes designed for adult learners. As a participant in the Yellow Ribbon program, the College's Chesapeake Regional Center is committed to helping those who are eligible for the Post-911 G.I. Bill fulfill their tuition obligations and achieve a high-quality education.
"The Cambridge College staff understand the challenges military personnel face from day-today and do everything possible to help," said Kevin Sullivan, a Master of Management graduate who is a retired Master Chief with the U.S. Navy. "The best overall experience was learning alongside classmates from the other sister services and civilian professionals."
