Cambridge College Awarded TEAC Accreditation for their Teacher Education Program and School Guidance Counseling Program

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cambridge College is pleased to announce that School of Education's Teacher Education Program and the School of Psychology and Counseling Program have been awarded TEAC Accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The Accreditation, which lasts for five years, is designated to ensure that the specified programs remain accountable and academically rigorous.

The Cambridge College School of Education is the College's oldest school and confers Masters Degrees, Certificates of Advanced Graduate Studies, and Doctorates in Education to teachers and adult learners. The Teacher Education Program offers graduate programs of study in fields including Elementary Teaching, Early Childhood, General Science, and Mathematics, among others. The School of Psychology and Counseling offers Masters of Education degrees with a concentration in School Guidance Counseling.

The School of Education, which appointed a new Dean, Dr. Sheila Wright, in February 2014, has been educating teachers since opening its doors in 1971.
