Cambium Networks Releases PTP 700 For Mission-Critical Communications

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., July 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambium Networks™, a leading global provider of wireless broadband solutions, today released PTP 700, a point-to-point wireless broadband solution for mission-critical communications in the federal, government, industrial and public safety space.
Encompassing unlicensed and licensed frequency bands, PTP 700 is a best-in-class platform for deployment flexibility and sustainability. The PTP 700 lowers the total cost of ownership while supporting a wide breadth of missions, including situational awareness, video surveillance, border security, base modernization, test range communications, first responder rapid deployments and tactical military operations, all with a single radio. The PTP 700 is available as a Connectorized Radio or Connectorized+Integrated Radio, which allows for antenna selection at time of deployment. In a future software release, the PTP 700 will support high-capacity multipoint to further extend mission capabilities.
Key features of PTP 700 include:
- Frequency: 4.4 GHz to 5.9 GHz in a single radio
- Throughput: up to 450 Mbps
- Range: up to 124 miles (200 kilometers)
- Line of sight and non-line of sight capable
- Configuration: point-to-point configuration and extendable to a high-capacity point-to-multipoint architecture
- Industry standards: FIPS 140-2, MIL-STD-810G, IPv6, 1588v2 / SyncE (LTE-ready)
