DALLAS, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambium Learning® Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABCD), the educational solutions and services company that leverages engaging, innovative technology to help all students reach their full potential, announced today that two of its business units, Learning A–Z and ExploreLearning, received five finalist honors in four education categories for the prestigious CODiE™ Awards. "Learning A–Z and ExploreLearning have been named as finalists for three years in a row, with multiple wins in a variety of categories," said Cambium Learning Group CEO John Campbell. "This is very rewarding because it means we continue to successfully expand our technology to make an even bigger difference in classrooms around the world."

"At Cambium Learning Group, we partner with educators by providing them with technology that engages students and helps them grow," said Campbell. "To do that requires strong teachers and smart, instruction-focused technology, which is where we come in."
The following Cambium Learning Group products named as 2014 finalists are:
- Best Learning Game: Reflex® by ExploreLearning®
- Best Mathematics Instructional Solution: Gizmos® by ExploreLearning
- Best Reading/English/ELL Instructional Solution: Reading A-Z by Learning A–Z

This year's program features 28 software categories, several of which are new or updated to reflect the latest industry trends. Winners will be announced during a special awards dinner on May 21 in San Francisco.
The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. The first-round review of all nominees includes industry executives and analysts, representatives of media outlets, bloggers, and investors. The judges are responsible for selecting the CODiE Awards finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalists' products, and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.

About the SIIA CODiE Awards
The CODiE Awards were established in 1986, by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) so that pioneers of the software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work. Since then, the program has evolved into three tracks — organized by industry focus in content, education, and software — but the core mission has always remained the same: recognizing excellence by honoring the software and information industry's leading products and services. The SIIA Education Division serves and represents more than 200 member companies that provide software, digital content, and other technologies that address educational needs.
