Camber Corporation announces the promotion of John Lord to President of the company.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In John's previous position as Camber's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, John led the realignment of the company to better define and focus on Camber's markets in a resource constrained environment, and has driven the company to increased prime contract bids and awards through an emphasis on cross-Camber collaboration.  Walter Batson, Camber's CEO said, "John is deserving of this promotion.  His leadership focuses on growth in current and new markets and on our people.  When I first hired John, I wanted to bring to our company someone whom I could trust and who had the experience to guide Camber through a very difficult business environment for our industry and who could continue to grow Camber to a much larger company."

Prior to Camber, John was the Deputy Group President for SAIC's Defense Solutions Group, headquartered in McLean, Virginia.  John was part of the Office of the Group President where he supported Defense Group growth and operational initiatives.  He also had functional responsibility for the Group's Contracts, Pricing, Procurement, Security, and Program Execution organizations, and served in several capacities during his seven year career at SAIC.

Prior to joining SAIC, John was the Chief Operating Officer for Preston Aviation Solutions, an international, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, where he focused on leading Preston's businesses in the Americas and Europe.  Preston experienced significant growth in these regions under John's leadership, including major deals with the FAA, NAV Canada, Eurocontrol and most of the major civil aviation authorities and airlines in Europe.
