Calvin, Giordano & Associates Redevelopment Solutions Team Prepares Feasibility Analysis of Naples, Florida CRA

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Calvin, Giordano & Associates - Redevelopment Solutions team was selected by the Naples Community Redevelopment Agency to prepare a feasibility analysis outlining the potential to complete capital projects listed in the CRA's Summary of Potential Capital Improvement Projects.

Given the impending fiscal year 2023 sunset date for the Agency, the analysis includes projections of increment revenue, operating expenditures and debt service obligations of the CRA for a period through fiscal year 2043. The report was presented in simplistic terms and included four different scenarios to assist the CRA Advisory Board and the CRA Board in their decision-making regarding the CRA's future.

The analysis culminated in a recommendation that the CRA and City pursue resetting the timeline of the CRA to extend 30 years from the end of the current fiscal year to allow additional opportunity for the CRA to complete desired projects.  Further, a recommendation was made to undertake an update of the Naples Community Redevelopment Plan and to gather public input regarding the Potential Projects List and to allow for a review of the CRA's goals and objectives.

The CRA includes parts of downtown Naples from as far south as Cambier Park up to Seventh Avenue North.  It stretches from the west end of Fifth Avenue South, east to the Cordon River.
