Calvin D. (Dan) Harris to Lead SAIC Enterprise and Mission Solutions Business Unit
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today that Calvin D. (Dan) Harris has been appointed business unit general manager in support of the company's Enterprise and Mission Solutions Business Unit (EMSBU).
Harris joined SAIC in 1999 when the company purchased Boeing Information Services where he had been employed for 22 years. He has served in a variety of executive positions, most recently as senior vice president and program manager for one of the company's largest contracts in support of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) program. He also served as deputy business unit general manager for the Homeland and Civilian Solutions Business Unit.
After joining Boeing in 1977, Harris held several program management and engineering positions with progressively responsible roles as a systems development and operations manager, enterprise business development manager and program manager for large-scale information technology (IT) and telecommunications network contracts. Harris reports to Tom Baybrook, president of SAIC's Defense Solutions Group.
