Calvert Education Services and Texas Tech Launch K-5 Distance Learning Program
BALTIMORE, July 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Calvert Education Services (CES) and Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD) in Lubbock, Texas, announce an innovative partnership for the State of Texas. Through this unique collaboration, TTUISD and CES will offer a customized version of the world-renowned Calvert School curriculum for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. The curriculum is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

The TTUISD/Calvert partnership may have statewide implications. Beginning in the fall of 2010, selected Texas school districts and open-enrollment charters may provide online learning options to enrolled public school students in Grades 3-9 through the Texas Education Association's Electronic Course Program (eCP). Those districts may offer the TTUISD/Calvert program.
