It originated as a family-friendly touring youth stage play. At the request of young fans, the author adapted the original stage play into two fun heart-warming books, complete with messages about responsible pet ownership. The new book, Litty Kitter Is Kitty Litter Spelled Backwards, features forewords by legendary Chicago disc jockeys Dick Biondi and Ron Smith. Join Litty Kitter the Cat on her whirlwind adventure from an unwanted birthday present, to an abandoned alley cat, to a shelter pet at the No-Kill Shelter, and follow her never ending quest to be adopted. There are cameo appearances by Litty Kitter the Cat's special friend Gofrette the Cat, courtesy of Fabienne Michot and Doris Brasset, the creators of the Gofrette children's book and TV series that airs in Canada and the Qubo Channel in the United States.

K.P. Lynne was encouraged to write these Litty Kitter books by the late Illinois State Comptroller, Judy Baar Topinka who spearheaded the creation of the Comptroller's Critters Pet Adoption Program, placing over 2000 shelter cats and dogs with forever families. Prior to her death, Topinka gave her blessing to appear in the book, as the presenter of a school assembly about proper pet care and as herself at a pet supply drive for the No-Kill Animal Shelter in the story.
