Calling All Business Leaders: Take the 2019 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends Survey Now and Provide Input on How to Tackle Today's Most Pressing Workforce Challenges
Deloitte human capital seeks business insights on how organizations are transforming into social enterprises - striving to better society and the bottom line
NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- With more than 11,000 human resources and business leaders having weighed into last year's study, today marks the opening of survey submissions for the 2019 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends report. Business leaders are encouraged to take the survey today to provide input on some of the most imperative workplace challenges organizations are facing.
As the largest and longest-running study of its kind, this report identifies emerging trends that are shaping corporations globally, and shines a light on business leaders' ability to prepare for and address today's human capital challenges. Participation provides an opportunity for business leaders to share their perspectives, helping drive the conversation about the needed changes in the workforce, the workplace, and the nature of work itself.
All submitted responses will remain completely confidential and will not be directly associated with the organization or the participant in any way. Submissions will be accepted through Oct. 30, 2018, with next year's report debuting in the spring.
Last year's survey results charted "the rise of the social enterprise" and the growing imperative for organizations to actively seek insights from all stakeholders in their ecosystem—workers, customers, shareholders, business partners, and the community at large. It also demonstrated that employees are choosing to work at organizations that operate with a sense of purpose, and that business leaders are starting to see the potential benefits of taking a stand on social issues. What's more, as their influence continues to grow, executives should be prepared to meet the demands of a more socially conscious consumer base while filling the gaping trust issues many employees face from political and social institutions by stepping up and taking a stand.
"Becoming a social enterprise is not just about corporate citizenship – it's about corporations filling a void and playing a new role in society. While we've seen an uptick this year in companies understanding this imperative, many organizations have yet to realize this," said Erica Volini, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, U.S. human capital leader. "We invite business leaders from all industries and across the globe to identify how they are approaching the growing trend of creating social enterprises and the challenges they may be facing along the way. With more pressure on the C-suite than ever before, it's critical that executives understand the benefits that social enterprises can have on both society and the bottom line."
Having surveyed thousands of executives last year, representing 124 countries and various industries, Deloitte is committed to addressing the concerns that are top of mind for executives. The 2019 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends report survey offers a list of potential and emerging trends, and asks participants about the importance of each topic to a particular organization, their readiness to deal with them, and their capabilities and plans to address priority areas.
