Call for Entries: Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Extends 2019 Beauty Awards

New Categories Reflect the Industry's Increased Focus on Wellness

NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) announces the addition of new categories to reflect the rapidly growing wellness segment and is currently accepting 2019 Beauty Award entries.

Now in its 25^th year, the CEW Beauty Awards celebrate innovation in the industry by honoring the best new products of the year in more than 40 product categories including skincare, hair care, makeup, nail care and fragrance. As the only awards selected by beauty industry insiders, they have become a guide for consumers to discover what's best in beauty.

"It's exciting to see the rate at which new product innovation has accelerated over the past 25 years," said Carlotta Jacobson, President of CEW. "That's great for the consumer, but with so many choices in so many categories, they need help making educated purchase decisions. That's where the CEW seal of approval makes a difference."

Reflecting the industry's growing focus on wellness, CEW has added two new wellness-focused categories: Beauty Wellness Supplements and Aromatherapy, which includes scented diffuser products. Additionally, the Skin and Makeup Tools category has been expanded to incorporate stone rollers, which are used for facial massage as part of an overarching wellness routine.

Two other new categories being added for 2019 include Home Scent and Rising Influencer of the Year, sponsored by Preen.me.

In February, CEW members, industry insiders and experts will come together for the annual Beauty Award Product Demonstration for the opportunity to discover and test products prior to voting. This year's event, which will be held on February 28, 2019, will include a new exploration station specifically designed for attendees to experience wellness offerings and brands. Participants will have until March 14, 2019 to vote on the top products in each of the 40 award categories.

Winners will be selected from the finalists by a special Voting Committee comprised of CEW Board Members and select industry experts. The awards will be presented at the annual Beauty Awards luncheon on May 17, 2019.
