When You Wish has been used successfully to raise significant funds for other causes including a recent raise of over $100,000 for the New Village Leadership Academy, a Southern California non-profit school supported by Will Smith and Jada Pickett Smith.
The site has agreed to waive its usual 5% fee for any funds raised for the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.
