California regulators take advantage of the latest technology

FRESNO, Calif., March 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Decade Software Company announces the immediate availability of the EnvisionConnect CERS Integration Wizard, an Electronic Data Transfer (EDT) Connector to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) for Cal/EPA's Phase 1 EDT Services.

Under this truly groundbreaking project, required forms submitted by regulated businesses through the Cal/EPA's California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) are downloaded and presented to California hazardous materials regulators (known locally as Certified Unified Program Agencies or CUPAs). Regulators which use Decade's EnvisionConnect data management software can now review, accept, and automatically transfer the data to their EnvisionConnect databases. Ultimately, these data are required for regulators to schedule and conduct electronic inspections, perform permit billing, print permits, generate reports, and manage the hazardous materials programs.

With this connector to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS), Decade presents a paperless end-to-end data-flow from businesses to regulators and first responders as envisioned by California Assembly Bill 2286 (Feuer).
