Back in Southern California for the first time in six years, Tech Tuesday offers attendees a full day of the latest and greatest in real estate technology tips, tools, and best practices. Sessions range from using virtual reality in property listings and how drones are changing the real estate industry to how technology is impacting real estate today and in the future. Tuesday Lunch: "Disruptive Tech: The Unrecognizable New World of Tech and Culture"
David Pogue, Yahoo Tech founder, author, and former New York Times personal technology columnist, will discuss the effects of technology on society and culture and the ramifications of trading privacy for services, especially by young people. He'll bring attendees up to date and help them consider the pros and cons of technology. (Ticketed event)

"Communication Across All Borders"
California is the second most popular state for foreign buyers to purchase property, but foreign buyers have different customs, and knowing how to communicate with them can make the difference between landing or losing the listing. C.A.R. CEO Joel Singer and author Joel Kotkin discuss his latest book, "The Human City: Urbanism for the Rest of Us." Kotkin, an internationally recognized authority on global, economic, political, and social trends, argues that most urban development is not meeting the needs and desires of the vast majority of people. Singer and Kotkin will discuss how people – families in particular – want to live, such as lower-density, suburban development. Kotkin will offer his insights on how housing, residential neighborhoods, and cities with purpose should define urbanism and provide diverse options to meet the changing needs of people in the different stages of their lives.
