California Cryobank Welcomes New Medical Director Jaime Shamonki, M.D.

LOS ANGELES, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- California Cryobank (CCB), a worldwide leader in frozen tissue services, announced a key addition to the company's executive team: Medical Director Jaime Shamonki, M.D.

Working closely with CEO/Corporate Medical Director Charles Sims, M.D., Shamonki brings an extensive background in pathology as well as an impressive CV to the Cryobank team.

Shamonki is currently an Associate Professor at Santa Monica's John Wayne Cancer Institute, and joins CCB after seven years as a pathologist at Saint John's Health Center, where she served as Section Head, Breast Surgical Pathology and Blood Bank Medical Director.

A magna cum laude graduate of University of Vermont, as well as the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Shamonki completed her residency and a Breast Pathology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical College, as well as a surgical pathology fellowship at UCLA.
