Chief of California's Bureau of Cannabis Control Will Review the State's First Ten Months of Legal Adult-Use Sales and Look Ahead to 2019
ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lori Ajax, Chief of California's Bureau of Cannabis Control, will deliver opening remarks for Day Two of the National Cannabis Industry Association's California Cannabis Business Conference, taking place October 22 and 23 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.
Chief Ajax's opening session, "Regulating Cannabis in the Golden State," will take place at 10am on October 23 and provide an essential evaluation of California's successes and challenges in rolling out its first ten months of legal adult-use cannabis sales.
Hosted by the industry's largest trade association, NCIA's California Cannabis Business Conference is the most influential cannabis business event in the state, expected to draw 3,000 industry professionals to Anaheim for two days of in-depth focus on the world's largest adult-use cannabis market. Following Chief Ajax's remarks, musician and activist Melissa Etheridge and cannabis pioneer Steve DeAngelo will take the conference stage at 10:30am to discuss "The Cultural Shift: The Mainstreaming of Cannabis Through Arts and Entertainment."
Day One of the conference (October 22) will feature a keynote by two cannabis policy leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives - Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA). Congressmen Correa and Rohrabacher will highlight California's critical role in policy change across the country in a discussion titled, "So Goes California, So Goes the Nation: A Federal Perspective."
In addition to the main stage programming, the California Cannabis Business Conference will feature more than 100 industry experts sharing their knowledge in six subject matter tracks:
- Distribution, Retail, and Delivery
