California American Water Appoints James Reilly to Corporate Counsel
CORONADO, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- California American Water appointed James Reilly, an experienced regulatory attorney, to its corporate counsel team.
Reilly will focus on regulatory and rate case matters, working closely with the company's rates and business performance units. Reilly will be based out of the company's San Francisco office where the California Public Utilities Commission is headquartered.

Reilly has more than 15 years of regulatory and legal experience. His most recent position was at the Edgcomb Law Group in San Francisco, where his practice focused on complex litigation. Before that, Reilly was based in New Jersey, where he represented telecommunications and electric companies before the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities through the firm Riker Danzig. Reilly was Associate General Counsel to the Majority Office of the New Jersey General Assembly in 2005 and served that state as Deputy Attorney General in 2004. Jim also served as Chief of Staff to a Commissioner of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. He was a Legislative Aide to the United States Senate and has worked for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York.
Reilly earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government from Manhattan College. He is a member of both the New Jersey and California Bars.
