Caldwell Cassady & Curry Attorney Named Among Top Lawyers in Texas, US

DALLAS, Oct. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Intellectual property and business litigation attorney Brad Caldwell of Dallas' Caldwell Cassady & Curry is being recognized by his peers in the legal community as one of the top trial lawyers in Texas and the nation.

Mr. Caldwell recently earned selection to The Best Lawyers in America and Texas Super Lawyers based on his work in intellectual property trials and through nominations from other lawyers. This is the first appearance in both publications for Mr. Caldwell, who previously was honored multiple times on the annual Texas Rising Stars list of the state's top young attorneys.

Mr. Caldwell and fellow firm principals Jason Cassady and Austin Curry formed Caldwell Cassady & Curry in 2013. All three are widely recognized for their courtroom abilities, and they have won some of the top jury awards in U.S. history. Days after the Smartflash verdict, Mr. Caldwell successfully represented another client in an inter partes review (IPR) trial before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In September, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld a $15 million patent infringement verdict won by Mr. Caldwell and co-counsel from Dallas' McKool Smith in favor of Texas-based Summit 6 LLC. The jury trial against consumer electronics powerhouse Samsung Electronics Co. was heard in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
