Caladan Expands Regulatory Footprint with Cayman Islands SIBA Registration
CIMA registration supports Caladan's institutional derivatives strategy and plans to explore tokenised real-world asset markets through CLDN Cayman Ltd.
SINGAPORE, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Caladan, a global proprietary trading group and digital asset liquidity provider, today announced that its Cayman Islands entity, CLDN Cayman Ltd, has been registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) as a Registered Person under the Securities Investment Business Act (SIBA), effective 7 October 2026.
The registration represents a significant milestone in Caladan's continued growth as an institutional digital asset trading firm, establishing a regulatory foundation in the Cayman Islands to support the development of its derivatives business. The group is also assessing opportunities in tokenised real-world assets (RWAs), including financial instruments that fall within the securities investment business framework.

Caladan plans to develop its institutional derivatives business through CLDN Cayman Ltd and explore liquidity provision and market-making opportunities in tokenised real-world assets (RWAs). Any activities would remain within the relevant entity's permitted scope, for eligible counterparties and subject to applicable law and any additional regulatory permissions required.
