BRASÍLIA, Brasil, Feb. 27, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- CAIXA ECONÔMICA FEDERAL ("CAIXA"), the largest Brazilian bank in number of clients, credit, digital accounts, and savings deposits, announces its consolidated result for the fourth quarter (4Q23).

HIGHLIGHTS:

I. Accounting Net Income of R$ 11.7 billion in 2023, up by 20,0% YoY;

II. Recurring Net Income of R$ 10.6 billion in 2023, up by 15.5% YoY;

III. Revenues from Services reached R$ 25.8 billion in 2023, up by 2.8% in 12 months;

IV. Assets under management totaled R$ 3.2 trillion in Dec/23, up by 11.5% in 12 months;

V. Total Loan Portfolio reached a balance of R$ 1.120 trillion, up by 10.6% over Dez/22, the largest national portfolio;

VI. Balance of R$ 775.1 billion of sustainable finance portfolio in Dec/23, up by 15.6% in 12 months;

VII. R$ 544.3 billion in total loan origination in 2023, up by 6.8% YoY, the greatest loan origination in CAIXA's history;

VIII. R$ 185.4 billion in new mortgage loans in 2023, up by 13.0% YoY, the greatest annual loan origination in CAIXA's housing history;

IX. Balance of R$ 733.3 billion in the mortgage loan portfolio, up by 14.6% YoY;

X. CAIXA expands market share in Mortgage Loans to 67.3% in 2023, up by 1.1 p.p. in 12 months;

XI. R$ 15,4 billion in new Infrastructure and Sanitation loans in 2023, up by 91.0% in 12 months;

XII. Basel Ratio of 16.7% and Tier I Capital of 14.1% in Dec/23, being 5.2 p.p. and 4.6 p.p. higher, respectively, than the regulatory minimum;

XIII. Delinquency Rate of 2.16% in 4Q23, in line with 4Q22, the lowest rate among the largest banks;

XIV. R$ 369.2 billion in social benefits paid in 2023, up by 19.5% YoY;

XV. Renegotiation of R$ 12.7 billion in debts through the Desenrola Brasil Program, Tudo em Dia and FIES, improving credit score and enabling financial restructuring for 459.4 thousand clients;

XVI. CAIXA completes all DREX stages and tests in 2023, ahead of the schedule stipulated by the Central Bank of Brazil.
