ORRVILLE, Ohio, Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cafe Bustelo® is partnering with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) for El Cafe del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest. Eligible students can apply for a chance to win one of nine $5,000 scholarships.
The brand aims to support the strong community of Hispanic/Latino followers who have enjoyed Cafe Bustelo coffee as a staple in their homes for decades.
Eligible students must be enrolled full-time at a HACU-member institution and be 18 years old or older, of Hispanic/Latino descent and a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S.
To enter the contest, students should complete all requirements outlined in the online application located on the HACU website, and in 800 words or less, write an essay in English or Spanish responding to the following topic:
Describe how your Hispanic/Latino heritage, family, and the community, in which you grew up, have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.
