Cadwalader Expands Fund Finance Practice in Europe with Partner Jeremy Cross in London
LONDON, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a leading counselor to global financial institutions and corporations, today announced the addition of Jeremy Cross as a Fund Finance partner resident in the firm's London office.
Cross was formerly at King & Wood Mallesons, where he was Head of Europe and Middle East Finance. He has a globally recognized and market-leading practice in funds finance, acting for lenders, borrowers and fund sponsors in subscription credit facilities, NAV facilities, hybrids and management fee loans. He also has extensive experience in real estate finance and other areas of loan finance.
"Cadwalader established a market-leading fund finance practice in the U.S. with the addition of partners Mike Mascia and Wes Misson in 2015," said Stuart Goldstein, Co-Chair of the Capital Markets practice with Michael Gambro. "With Jeremy, we can now serve bank lenders with cross-border capabilities in subscription credit facilities and other fund finance products, while also adding a real estate finance offering in Europe to complement our strong U.S. presence."
"We have been looking to build out our European fund finance practice in a meaningful way for some time," Mascia said. "Jeremy is one of the preeminent fund finance lawyers in Europe. He brings a wealth of experience and seniority to the role. We believe Jeremy's addition to Cadwalader creates an unparalleled cross-border fund finance capability for our clients."
Cross has been recognized by Chambers UK and the Legal 500 and named to The Lawyers 'Hot 100' list. He is a graduate of Marlborough College and earned his BA and MA in Law from Cambridge University.
"Cadwalader has enormous expertise across finance and capital markets in the U.S. and in London. Combining with Cadwalader's Fund Finance group in the U.S. makes sense for my practice and will be fantastic for my clients," Cross said. "I'm excited to be a part of a firm with such momentum, and I look forward to leading the charge to further build out the Fund Finance practice, in particular across Europe."
