CadmiumCD's eventScribe App Turns 5 This Month
Popular eventScribe® App for Educational Conferences and Meetings Celebrates Five Year Anniversary with ACG 2016
FOREST HILL, Md., Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Five years ago, CadmiumCD launched the eventScribe App for educational meetings and conferences at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 2011 Annual Meeting. This month, CadmiumCD and ACG are celebrating five years of collaboration on an award-winning app with the launch of ACG 2016.
"We've been using eventScribe for five years now – six annual meetings in total," says Martie Spath, ACG VP of Marketing. "The app has evolved tremendously in that time, and it has become something that our speakers and attendees look forward to using."
The ACG 2016 conference app broke records. More than 65% of attendees downloaded 2.3 million presentation slides and made over 38,000 slide annotations (notes and drawings on the slides). That's a considerable increase from 2011 when fewer than 20% of attendees made 8,600 notes and drawings.
Among eventScribe's many benefits are its educational features. Conference attendees can view the schedule, add sessions to their personal summary, download presentation slides, and explore speaker profiles. There is also one highly coveted feature, which few conference apps offer even today: note-taking directly on slides. Attendees can highlight text and draw with a red 'pen' directly on presentation slides, or take text notes without obstructing their view of the slides. It was a ground-breaking feature when it was released five years ago, and is still a huge differentiator in the marketplace.
"These solutions are what make eventScribe the perfect tool for serious conferences and events," says Peter Wyatt, co-founder and CTO of CadmiumCD. "We're not just offering a social networking app for your event — we're offering a content hub that attendees can interact with and build into their educational experience. We've always taken the educational engagement approach first with eventScribe, something our clients appreciate."
