CABs of Distinction To Celebrate Wines Perfected In Paso Robles
Annual celebration of Cabernet Sauvignon and red Bordeaux varietals, May 2-7, 2015
PASO ROBLES, Calif., April 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Paso Robles CAB (Cabernet And Bordeaux) Collective (PRCC) (pasoroblescab.com), announced an expanded CABs of Distinction event including a Grand Tasting on Saturday, May 2, followed by a three-day trade- and media-only experience exploring Cabernet Sauvignon and red Bordeaux varietals and blends from the Paso Robles AVA, May 5-7, 2015 in Paso Robles, California.
The Grand Tasting on Saturday, May 2, at River Oaks Hot Springs in Paso Robles, will bring consumers face-to-face with over 75 different Cabernet and red Bordeaux varietal wines from Paso Robles accompanied by personal cheese and charcuterie plates curated by Vivant Fine Cheese, as well as artisanal bites and tastings provided by regional culinary artisans. The following week, May 5-7, the PRCC will offer a series of experiences for trade and media spotlighting the region's foremost Cabernet and Bordeaux-varietal producers including en primeur barrel tastings; panel discussions exploring Paso Robles phenolics; and a fly-on-the-wall panel tasting of global Cabernet producers moderated by Sommelier, Mike Madrigale, for "The Quaff Report," a popular column in The SOMM Journal.
