CAA Agent Named IIAT’s 2011 ‘Young Agent of the Year’

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Combined Agents of America, LLC (CAA) congratulates its agent Matt Frierson, CIC, Partner at Pierson & Fendley Insurance Agency, LLC, (Paris, Texas), for being named the Andre P. Juneau Young Agent of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) at its 114th Annual Conference & Trade Show.  Pierson & Fendley Insurance Agency is a CAA member agency. Matt is also the 7th CAA agent who has been distinguished with this prestigious award. With a presence in Oklahoma and Kansas, Texas-based CAA is a managing general agency (MGA) committed to further expansion across the country to strengthen the independent insurance agency system through profitable growth and exceptional service for its member agencies.

Previously, Matt has served on IIAT's Young Agents and Small Agents Advisory Council(s), and as President of Independent Agents of Paris. He is a current board member for Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Paris City Council. Matt's wife and three children live in Paris, Texas.

The IIAT's 'Young Agent of the Year' annual award is bestowed upon a young producer that demonstrated service to the industry, his or her professional trade associations and community in an exceptional manner for a person of his/her age.  Nominations are solicited each January, and announced during the IIAT's annual conference. The award was named after Andre P. Juneau, senior vice president of Nieman Hanks Puryear, who died early at the age 47 after a courageous battle with cancer.  

In 2009, Mark Bridges, vice president of Edmond, Deaton & Stephens Insurance Agency (Amarillo, Texas), a CAA member agency affiliate, was named IIAT's 'Young Agent of the Year.'
