CA Technologies' McCracken: Cloud Computing and Virtualization at the Heart of Business Transformation
LAS VEGAS, May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CA WORLD -- In his keynote address at CA World 2010, Bill McCracken, chief executive officer of CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA), told 7,000 attendees that the technology industry is at an inflection point, and that business will embrace virtualization and cloud computing in order to remain competitive.

McCracken said that CA Technologies has embarked on an aggressive investment program to gain leadership in the key markets that underlie its growth strategy—identity and access management, IT management as a service, virtualization management and cloud computing—while continuing to grow its market-leading mainframe business.
The company is demonstrating new technology at the conference and rolling out new products for enterprises that want to gain all the benefits offered by the cloud and by virtualization – including lowered IT management costs and greater adaptability – while maintaining enterprise standards for security, reliability and compliance. The company also will unveil ground-breaking mainframe software.
"Running IT in a cloud-connected enterprise will be more like running a supply chain, where organizations can tap into the IT services as needed - specifying when, where and precisely how they are delivered," he said.
