Byron Bear is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional

SAPULPA, Okla., Jan. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Byron Bear is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Public Education and Advocacy as a result of his role as Bear Impersonator and Founder of The Byron T. Bear Foundation.

Now celebrating its tenth year of success, The Byron T. Bear Foundation helps to raise awareness of bears and how they may be conserved. The foundation educates people on how to avoid conflicts with bears and teaches about why bears should be conserved.

Byron enjoys teaching others about prevention of conflict between people and bears, as well as how to protect livestock. He sees it as his mission to help dispel the myths about the danger of bears and asks that people assist in the preservation of bears and conservation of bear habitat on a global scale. Byron continuously shares that idea that bears are an essential part of forest ecology, spreading plants, clearing debris, removing insect infestations, and promoting new growth.

In order to engage people in the importance of bear conservation, Byron transforms himself into the animal during live performances. A registered clown for over thirty years, he has the knowledge and talent to put on a show the viewing public will not soon forget. His American Black Bear costume is designed by one of the foremost special effects producers in the world. He hopes that his unique approach to bear education will offer the chance of seeing this icon of the wilderness to future generations. Byron's next event will be held in Colorado Springs on July 1st 2013.

In addition, the Byron T. Bear Foundation has adopted the Great Bear Foundation and Appalachian Bear Rescue, to form a small Consortium of 501(c)(3) Organizations working to address the concerns of all eight species of bear. Looking to further give back to the community, Byron is also a member of OSAG, IBBR, ABR, and The American Horse Foundation.
