MANCHESTER, England, July 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
George is now the bookmaker's favourite for the name of the Royal Baby.
It was announced this evening that the Duchess of Cambridge had given birth to a baby boy at 4.24pm weighing 8lb and 6 ounces.
Betfred spokesman Mark Pearson:
"Punters are backing the new royal arrival to be called George. They are obviously looking at their history books. They've been six King George's and the Queen's father was called George."
The birth had turned into a bad result for the punters with a baby girl been backed into odds on favourite.
Meanwhile the Prince is 500/1 to be called Wayne and 10,000/1 to be called Elvis.
