BVE 2015; Mobile Viewpoint Introduces Ruggedized, Wireless Bonded Video Transmitter, the WMT Agile 2.0 R
ALKMAAR, The Netherlands, February 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Today Mobile Viewpoint, market leader in wireless 3G/4G communications, announced the introduction of a ruggedized 'R-edition' of their WMT Agile 2.0 HD video transmission backpack. This Agile 2.0 R is following client demands for smaller, lighter encoders built for harsh environments. The system is small enough to fit between camera body and battery pack, or can be carried in a small backpack. Its aluminum design makes it extremely sturdy and will survive drops of more than 2 meters without problems. All this while still offering up to 8 4G modems, HD-SDI/ CVBS/HDMI input, a LAN connection, satellite/KA-sat/BGAN support and 32GB of removable storage for recording video locally, ready for editing.

Mobile Viewpoint CEO and research leader Michel Bais:
"We wanted to offer our customers the option to use our WMT Agile 2.0 IP bonding encoder in harsh environments. Up to 8 industrial 4G modems are built inside the body of the WMT Agile 2.0 R, with a small aerial array specifically designed for this casing. Like all our other systems we integrate the newest industrial modems which deliver much better bandwidth compared to USB dongles. We also added an SD-card slot for removable storage and a tally light for studio feedback."
The new WMT Agile 2.0 R fits nicely between the recently introduced bigger WMT Expert 265 backpack and Mobile Viewpoint's WMT Live iOS and Android apps. All of these products, as well as the rackmount encoders, are tightly integrated with the WMT Videomanager for remote monitoring and management, and with the W-Link webplatform for delivering and monetizing live video around the world. For a demo clients can visit the Mobile Viewpoint booth at the BVE show at stand R33.
