The app is of refreshing quality and contains vast content compared to what is currently available on the app store. Users have access to over 2,800 problems aligned to the Common Core Standards. The virtual manipulatives and interactive graphs inside of the activities are touch optimized to enhance the student learning experience. Teacher tools allow access to check student results and assign activities directly from the app.
The BuzzMath app also contains all of the features that are currently available through the online program, BuzzMath.com. On demand examples, instant feedback and audio readings assist students as they work towards mastery. Detailed reporting tools and single-click activity assignment are available to support teachers as they monitor the progress of their students and provide targeted and individualized instruction.
"BuzzMath has been a huge motivator for my intervention students AND my advanced students. The app is visually appealing and easy to use!", states Derek Pipkorn, 8th Grade Math Teacher from Milwaukee. "The confidence level of my students has skyrocketed, as they continue to complete assignments at or above their level."
"We take every opportunity to observe students actively working in their classrooms to determJean-ine what we can do to enhance their learning experience. If we improve their learning experience they become more engaged. If they are engaged, they spend more time on task resulting in measurable progress" says Carl Malartre, President of Scolab.
Students and teachers can now download the app from the Apple App Store for free. Accounts can be upgraded to Premium for $5 per student. Premium features are now available for educators at no cost until July 1st, 2013.
