Bustle Grows Social Engagement Fourteen-Fold
Shares of Bustle content increase 13x; Social referrals spike 234 percent in one year
NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bustle announced today that social media engagement for the women's lifestyle and news site increased 14x from August 2014 to August 1, 2015, capturing over 12.7 million actions (i.e., post-level likes, shares, comments, favorites, and retweets) across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, outpacing the media publishing industry's 81 percent social growth during the same time period. This growth also drove a 234 percent growth in social referrals for the publisher.
Bustle credits social engagement insights and analytics partner Shareablee Inc. for guiding the publisher's dramatic growth in social reach, engagement and referral traffic. Since April 2014, this partnership has enabled Bustle to increase audience interactions and traffic by publishing content that has proven to engage its users.
Bustle's social fan, impression and amplification (sum of shares and retweets) numbers also increased during this time period, with growth rates of 474 percent, 511 percent and 13x, respectively. Furthermore, Bustle's Facebook shares outpaced its publishing industry category by 191 percent.
