B4B, produced by UBM plc, is a non-commercial community partnership movement and two-day conference and expo that brings together nonprofits and business leaders to form meaningful relationships and strengthen their corporate social responsibility programs. The conference is May 1st and 2nd in Anaheim, California.
The involvement of each B4B nonprofit partner will help the B4B community partnership movement succeed. B Lab, the nonprofit behind B Corporations that serves a global movement of entrepreneurs, Points of Light, the world's leading volunteer organization, and Stanford Social Innovation Review, the award-winning magazine and website covering cross-sector solutions to global problems, all have years of continually improving how businesses support societal causes and the greater good.
The nonprofit partners will sit on the B4B Advisory Committee, providing valuable guidance and expertise to ensure that B4B provides both businesses and nonprofit organizations the tools, resources and education fundamental to achieving the common goal of driving more active and integrated community involvement. The B4B partners will also participate in the selection of the more than 200 exhibiting nonprofits.
"We are extremely grateful for the support of all of our respected nonprofit partners and for their leadership role in redefining charitable giving and taking business-community engagement to even higher levels of effectiveness," said Joshua Dome, Project Leader for Business4Better. "Their invaluable expertise and contributions will undoubtedly help B4B ignite more businesses to utilize their assets, resources and skills to have an impact on societal causes."
"Points of Light believes that to create change, all parts of the community must work in concert. By bringing together nonprofits and corporations, we can leverage our greatest assets to create the greatest good," said Jackie Norris, Executive Director of Points of Light Corporate Institute. "This convening is an excellent opportunity to share our expertise in using volunteers to tackle the nation's toughest problems."
