Business Outreach Program Will Help Shape Irvine's Business Environment
New Program Will Reach Out to Medium-Large Companies Whose Business Will Have Long Term Impact on the Economy
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Irvine Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has launched its first ever Business Outreach Program, a new initiative for 2011. The goal of the program is to share information which will shape policies and programs that can benefit and bolster Irvine's dynamic business environment. The program will be led by Ed Linck, Coordinator of the Business Outreach Program for the ICC.
"This is a program other economic development teams from across the nation have implemented and have succeeded in aiding companies thrive and stay in town," says Linck. He also adds, "We have designed our plan using the best aspects from other programs and implemented it into ours."
Irvine's companies have not been immune to the challenging economic times. The Irvine Chamber of Commerce and the City of Irvine recognize the struggles facing businesses today, and is committed to reaching out to Irvine's business community and learn about how it can help. Many communities across the nation have begun similar programs and have had success in business retention, as well as expansion. Much of this success is due to the program identifying issues and connecting businesses with the resources that are available locally. The ICC plans to visit over 200 companies in 2011.
