Business Matchmaker, Governor Haley to Highlight May 7 Salute to Small Business in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C., April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the South Carolina Coalition for Small Business and Entrepreneurship will present the eleventh annual Salute to Small Business on Wednesday, May 7, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in downtown Columbia.

This year's Salute will once again feature the popular procurement matchmaker sessions throughout the morning, where small businesses can connect one-on-one with buyers from around 30 companies and government agencies, including big-name players like Boeing and Continental Tire. The Salute will also feature a variety of exhibitors and networking opportunities throughout the morning, including access to the designated "Network Space."

The Salute will close with an awards luncheon honoring the winners of the SBA's South Carolina Small Business & Advocacy Awards in the afternoon. This year's luncheon will feature remarks by Governor Nikki Haley and by SBA Region IV Administrator Cassius Butts. Registration is $25 through April 30 and increases to $50 after April 30. Registration for the awards luncheon is an additional $60.
