The three-day event features over 25 sessions to help business-to-business marketing professionals use the tools they already possess to drive creativity and innovation. Industry experts will advise marketers on using assets such as data, social media profiles, mobile strategies, and agency relationships to improve their companies' market profiles.
Author and marketing executive Roy Spence will deliver an address on tapping into companies' senses of self – their purposes – to focus marketing strategies. Keynote speeches by Forrester Research Senior Vice President Josh Bernoff and Avnet CEO and Chairman Roy Vallee will focus on cultivating HEROes (highly empowered and resourceful operatives) and developing a company voice. Author Seth Godin will speak at Thursday's lunch.
The theme for this year's conference is rooted in findings from a recent BMA survey that revealed marketers are feeling stifled by the lack of money, confidence and time, as well as bureaucracy and complacency, in the industry. "Unleash 2011," co-sponsored by Bloomberg and CNBC News, will focus on the tools marketers can use to foster creativity despite real and perceived limitations. Events also include networking dinners and a cruise on Lake Michigan.
"We are excited to provide a forum for sharing ideas, insights and perspectives from some of the world's finest thinkers in business-to-business marketing. 'Unleash 2011' will educate attendees about how these ideas, methods and technologies can be most relevant to marketers in every industry," said Gary Slack, BMA national chairman.
