Business Leaders to Gather for Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) Forum at Quinnipiac University March 31-April 2
HAMDEN, Conn., Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Leaders from the nation's financial services industry will gather at Quinnipiac University March 31-April 2 when the university holds its inaugural Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) Forum.
A new annual event at Quinnipiac, the G.A.M.E. Forum will give an international group of college students and faculty, as well as professionals from the region, the opportunity to hear and network with the industry leaders who are guiding the financial markets today.
"This is an unusual opportunity to rub elbows with the people who are shaping the markets," said David Sauer, G.A.M.E. Forum managing director and program chair.
Sauer, also a finance professor, previously directed the well known R.I.S.E. financial conference at the University of Dayton in Ohio. He came to Quinnipiac last year to launch the G.A.M.E. Forum.
"It's a very interactive conference," Sauer said. "Over the three days, we'll have more than 75 speakers addressing a wide range of issues, opportunities and challenges facing the financial industry."
Among those scheduled to speak are: Paul Bishop, vice president of research for the National Association of REALTORS®; Tom Keene, editor-at-large at Bloomberg News; Tobias M. Levkovich, chief U.S. equity strategist for Citi Investment Research; and Diane C. Swonk, senior managing director and chief economist at Mesirow Financial.
The conference includes a full schedule of notable speakers. View a list of keynote speakers and their bios at http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x5381.xml.
Professionals are invited to join students and faculty mentors at the forum on March 31, when keynote speaker panels will discuss the economy, stock markets, alternative investments and corporate governance. Up to six continuing education hours are available for professionals attending the conference.
April 1-2 will feature a variety of breakout sessions and workshops, followed by panels that will explore career opportunities within the financial services industry. These two days are reserved for students and faculty mentors.
