BATON ROUGE, La., June 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Jude Melville, President and CEO of Business First Bank, today announced Keith Mansfield as Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of the company. Mansfield has 18 years of experience in the financial sector, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President for BancorpSouth.
"Technology has never been a more integral element of success in the financial industry than it is today and it will only become more so over time," said Melville. "This is a good thing both for consumers and for progressive companies willing to invest in their future, like Business First Bank. Whether utilizing technology to enhance the customer experience, to promote business process efficacy, or to defend our client's privacy in an age of cyber-criminality, I'm confident Keith will have an immediate and positive impact on our organization. Given our growth and the exhilarating pace of change in the industry, the timing of his joining our executive team could not be better."
Mansfield joined BancorpSouth in 1998 as a management trainee and served numerous roles with the bank in addition to managing the information technology group, including managing electronic banking, internet banking, trust operations and the wire transfer departments. In addition to being responsible for Information Technology at Business First Bank, his management portfolio includes Facilities, Marketing, Information Security, Vendor Management and Business Intelligence.
"I'm thrilled to join Business First Bank during this exciting time of growth." Mansfield added, "I look forward to working with the executive team, and their outstanding group of banking professionals, to help shape the IT strategy and drive innovation and growth for our company."
