Burson-Marsteller Appoints Jorge Ortega Executive Vice President, Managing Director of Agency's Miami Office
Ortega adds deep experience in brand marketing, corporate reputation and major client campaigns to key global market
MIAMI, May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, today announced Jorge Ortega has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the agency's Miami office, which serves the Florida market and is the headquarters for Burson-Marsteller's Latin America regional business. He will lead a multidisciplinary team of communications professionals supporting clients in brand communications, public and corporate affairs, reputation management, crisis response and digital strategies. Ortega will provide strategic and creative counsel while helping clients leverage Burson-Marsteller's suite of global services and diverse talent. This will be Ortega's second term with Burson-Marsteller, where he began his career.

Ortega has broad experience in corporate and brand communications, issues and crisis management and expertise in Hispanic marketing. Prior to rejoining Burson-Marsteller, he was founder and managing partner of Newlink America, a Hispanic marketing and consulting firm he started in 2010. Before that, Ortega served as president of JeffreyGroup. He began his career in Burson-Marsteller's New York office, later transitioning to the Latin America region where he served as general manager of Burson-Marsteller Mexico, and eventually regional chair for the Latin America brand communications practice and the firm's U.S. Hispanic unit.
