WILLISTON, N.D., Sept. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of a robust construction plan, the City of Williston selected Burns & McDonnell and Alliance Consulting to design and bid key elements of the new Williston Basin International Airport. The team is working on a series of projects, including runway, apron, access road, perimeter fence, electrical vault, rental car facility and runway visual aid support structures design.

Burns & McDonnell and Alliance Consulting are providing design, bid and construction services for a 4,500-foot-long crosswind runway including airfield lighting and paved markings, a 450,000-square-foot aviation parking apron, 5 miles of perimeter and access roads, 6 miles of 10-foot-tall wildlife perimeter fencing, and the airfield electrical vault to power airfield lighting. The team is also working on an employee parking area and a four-bay quick-turnaround rental car facility. Construction is expected to be complete by 2019.
