BOSTON, Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Burns & Levinson partner Renee Inomata has been selected by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of its "Top Women of Law" and by Profiles in Diversity Journal for its "Women Worth Watching" list. MLW's "Top Women of Law" honors attorneys whose accomplishments have earned them reputations as pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models. The PDJ "Women Worth Watching" awards celebrate the achievements and personalities of leading women across a multitude of industries. The honorees are nominated by their colleagues, peers, and mentors, and represent diversity within their spheres of influence.
As chair of Burns & Levinson's Employment Group, Inomata advises businesses on navigating myriad employment laws, creating and maintaining a legally compliant workplace, and developing short and long-term strategies for their workforces. She is also a trusted advisor to executives in evaluating employment options and compensation arrangements. Inomata is also a member of Burns & Levinson's Executive Committee and is co-chair of the firm's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.
"Renee is a well-respected leader in her field of law, at our firm, and in the community," said David Rosenblatt, managing partner at Burns & Levinson. "She is highly deserving of both these honors, and we are thrilled to see her recognized among other distinguished and talented women in Massachusetts and across the country."
Inomata has served on a number of Boards of Directors for various non-profit and quasi-government entities, and is the chair of Brown University's President's Diversity Advisory Council. She is also on WGBH's Board of Overseers and the Law Firm Alliance's Board of Directors. Additionally, Inomata co-publishes The In-House Advisor blog (www.in-houseadvisor.com), which provides insights to in-house counsel and C-level executives.
Inomata will be honored at the "Top Women of Law" event at Boston's Marriott Copley Place hotel on November 2, 2017.
