Burleson LLP Managing Partner Kevin Colosimo to Speak at Energy And Mineral Law Foundation's 35th Annual Institute

PITTSBURGH, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kevin Colosimo, managing partner of Burleson LLP's Pittsburgh location, will speak at the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation's 35^th Annual Institute on June 3 in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.

The institute brings together a range of professionals throughout the oil and gas industry to foster discussion and education on topics related to the laws and regulation of natural resource development and energy use. 

Colosimo's presentation is titled, "Defensible Title: Curative Requirements and Waiver in Acquisitions and Drilling Title Certification."  The session will address the legal basis for a number of common curative requirements, and examine requirements and procedures related to defensible title in purchase and sale agreements.  It will also cover the boundaries of title defects in acquisitions and review the in-house analysis of waivers.   

An advocate of Pennsylvania's booming energy industry, Colosimo frequently writes and speaks on a broad range of legal and public policy issues facing the oil and gas sector.   

He is a seasoned attorney whose practice spans all areas of oil and gas litigation, energy law, and business and contract law.  His background also includes counseling clients in legal strategies related to international trade and creditors' rights, risk management alternatives, and claims assessments.
