ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Burgess Group®, a leading provider of healthcare information management solutions specializing in payments for healthcare products and services, announced two top healthcare executives have joined the company. Since its founding in 1996, Burgess has experienced double-digit growth and has continued to revolutionize software, data, and services solutions that optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare reimbursement in this ever-evolving market.
As Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Dr. Josko Silobrcic will be responsible for leading the company's strategic positioning, as well as expanding its reach and impact in the healthcare environment. Dr. Silobrcic brings to Burgess more than 30 years of leadership in executive and operational management as well as clinical and academic experience. Prior to joining Burgess, he was the Executive Director of Healthbox, a leading platform for healthcare technology-enabled innovation. Previously, he was an Associate Partner for Strategy and Senior Medical Scientist, Care Delivery Systems, at IBM Research. He has also been an executive with several healthcare information management ventures, a senior/expert consultant with major healthcare professional services firms (Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, IBM Global Business Services), as well as an advisor to various industry groups and healthcare enterprises. In addition to his work with Burgess, he will continue his role on the Health Policy and Management faculty of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and several healthcare advisory bodies.
In the new role of Vice President of Client Solutions, Mr. Tariq Abu-Jaber will focus on broadening Burgess' value to clients by developing and delivering new products and services. He aims to complement and build upon the existing solution suite so as to respond to emerging market requirements brought on by healthcare reform. As a leader in the field of clinical informatics, he brings more than 30 years of experience in designing, developing and helping organizations gain value from information-based products and services. Prior to joining Burgess, Mr. Abu-Jaber held the role of Vice President of Medical Informatics for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, where he created and led the department. He also led the Product Management function for McKesson Health Solutions, focusing on analytic products and services for payers and providers. His additional professional experience includes leadership roles in consulting, analytics, education and state Medicaid programs.
The above additions to the Burgess senior leadership team reunite Mr. Greg Burgess, Founder and CEO, with Dr. Silobrcic and Mr. Abu-Jaber.
