TAMPA, Fla., May 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger 21®, an award-winning, "beyond the better burger" fast casual franchise, announced today it has rolled out several new and enhanced menu items in order to appeal to the changing taste preferences of its guests. In addition, the brand has added a smaller milkshake option to the menu and its 10 Certified Angus Beef® burger options will now be prepared in a third-pound size.

As part of the new menu changes, Burger 21's Certified Angus Beef burgers will now be available in a third-pound size, a slightly smaller rendition of its original beef burger options. In addition, the company has added a small 12-ounce milkshake option to go with its regular 16-ounce shakes. Some of the new and enhanced menu items include:
- The Skinny Turkey Burger – A freshly grilled turkey burger topped with lettuce, tomato, sun-dried tomato pesto and now served on a crisp "lettuce bun." Guests will have the option to add fresh avocado. Also available on a toasted whole-wheat bun.
- Monterey Chicken Burger – A former featured burger of the month and now a permanent menu item, this fan-favorite offers a freshly grilled chicken burger topped with lettuce, tomato, Monterey Jack cheese, salsa, fresh avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, jalapeños, sundried tomato aïoli served on a toasted brioche bun.
- Your Cookie Sundae – Choice of one of Burger 21's freshly baked cookies topped with vanilla ice cream, Ghirardelli® chocolate sauce, whipped cream and chocolate chips.
For younger guests, Burger 21 has added Grilled Chicken Tenders to its kids' menu. In addition to offering a variety of chef-inspired beef and non-beef burger creations, Burger 21 also offers fresh salads, hand-crafted shakes, a gluten-free menu, and craft beer and wine by the glass.
